- Ghotul: This practice is a social organizational form of youth of the Gond tribe, where young people are getting education of future life. These young people are called Chalik-Mottei in the local dialect. This practice is seen in the comprehensive teaching form in the Gond tribe. Various activities like dancing, singing are given through versatile development. Ghatul’s administrative system is quite harsh. There has been a provision of penalties for its violation, which also did not cause any disruption to the villagers. This organization offers free support in the system from social structure like birth to death, in return, the villagers respect them by making food etc. Now this practice is gradually becoming extinct.
- Gonwa Feast (worship of Lord Jagannath): In the month of Ashar, Maharaja Purushottam Dev of Bastar, along with some of his followers, walked for Jagannath Puri on foot. When Lord Jagannath’s chariot was being dragged on the day of Part II, the chariot stopped and all was filled with surprise. Puri-Mukhiya Gajapati Raja said that definitely no devotee of Jagannath has reached here. At that time, Maharaja Purushottam Dev of Bastar reached there and chariot walked. From this, people cheered Lord and devotee King Purushottam Dev. From then onwards, Bastar Maharaj started the practice of running chariots in Gopal Praja and Dashshwar in Jagdalpur. This festival is celebrated in Jagdalpur, Narayanpur as well as in Kadgaon and Palari in these dates. Lord Jagannath Temple is worshiped in Jagannath, Balram, Subhadra. On this day, by filling the peng fruits (Swatangini) in the bamboo flats, Pango’s rapture enthusiasts do. This practice is still popular today. First is Goncha and seven days later Bahaara Goncha. In the Rath Yatra at Palari, Lord Jagannath, Balram, Subhadra’s local gods and goddesses sit on the chariots.
- Kondagaon Mandai: Before the Phagun Purnima, Kesa Mata Mastani (Jatra) is organized on Tuesday, in which the village’s chief Patel, Kotwar collectively invites deities and invites them to the fair and the gods are requested to come Any kind of outbreaks in agriculture work, public life, etc, throughout the year, do not bother like illness. On the next Tuesday, the gods and goddesses arrive and gathering in the Gudi temple of village Devi, the procession of the fair is circled and the procession is commemorated. There has been a tradition in this fair that, according to the representative of Bastar King Purushottam Dev, the Tehsil chief is taken to the fair by visiting the Tehsildar with due honor. The Tahsildar wears the necklace of Hazari flower. Situa Mata, Mauli Temple is worshiped and the fair is circled. This practice is still popular today.
